St Kilda is unquestionably the cosmopolitan capital of Melbourne.

Within walking distance there are literally hundreds of restaurants and eating establishments. Indeed, five of Melbourne's top 10 restaurants are located in St.Kilda close to the beach. They include the beachfront Donovan's and The Stokehouse and Fitzroy Street's Circa and Di Stasio Cafe.

The famous Luna Park is only a few hundred metres away and St Kilda beach is also within a stone's throw. St Kilda pier offers a picturesque walk out over the water where you can join a tour to see Port Phillip Bay's own fairy penguins.

If you're feeling energetic, the Esplanade winds for kilometres in either direction, providing the perfect opportunity for running, riding, walking or rollerblading.

Nearby you will also find the amazing Acland Street. Here, a treasure chest of cafes, restaurants, shops, arcades and street performers awaits. Check out the famous patisserie windows - we guarantee you've never seen anything quite like them!

On the Lower Esplanade are The Palace nightclub and The Palais Theatre; both offering regular live entertainment.

Just around the corner from the Novotel St Kilda is the classic Esplanade Hotel, the most famous live band venue in all of Melbourne.

Every Sunday you will find a fantastic market right outside the front of the hotel. This is a classic art and craft market, where the local artists of St Kilda display just why they have the reputation they deserve.

From tacos to triathlons, St Kilda has it all.
