The Big M Beach Concert

foreshore for this Festival tradition. Always a huge attraction!

PBS Global Experience
A world music stage in Alfred Square, celebrating a diversity of musical
culture from the far flung corners of the planet. Featuring: The Habibis;
Vardos; MC Trey; Uncle Bill; Juju; Ruby Fruit Jungle; and Brolga Boys.

Indie in the Park
An eclectic selection of some of the best unsigned bands in Melbourne, in
O'Donnell Gardens (in front of Luna Park). Featuring Charlie Marshall and
the Body Electric; On; Cheezlekane; Bernie Hayes; and Git. From midday to
5.00pm.
Jazz On The Corner
As afternoon turns into evening, indy music turns into jazz in O'Donnell
Gardens. Featuring: Ish Ish; The Catholics; Baecastuff; and Decoy. From
6.00pm to 10.00pm.
Veludo Acland Street Stage
Great local bands, on the corner of Acland and Barkly Streets. Featuring:
Hot Tub; Bakers Daughter; Bobby Valentine; Dianne Kiss; Paul Williamson
and Jane Clifton; Ruby Carter; The Hot Band; and Andy Cohen. From midday
to 8.00pm
We Iri We Homeborn Indigenous Stage
A new program for the St Kilda Festival. This Koori and Torres Strait
Islander stage will feature a great line-up of indigenous musicians
performing a wide range of music. In the beautiful Catani Gardens, with
market stalls featuring Koori arts and crafts from across the state. From
midday to 5.00pm.
Country 'n' Espy
Hot diggety - another new program for 2000! Hoe down as one of St Kilda's
favourite live venues presents: Dan Brodie and the Broken Arrows;
Shonkytonk; Crane Trash featuring Anthony Morgan; The Violent Mood Swings;
Lisa Miller; The Loose Lariats; and Teddy Turner and the Bunsen Burners.

The new Port Phillip Community Festival brings together elements of the
Garden & Multicultural Festival, previously held at the St Kilda
Botanical Gardens, and Gasworks Park's Mayor's Community Day, embracing
all sections of the Port Phillip community.
This festival celebrates the diversity brought to the City of Port
Phillip by people who have come from all over the world to settle here.
The festival's programming targets all ages - children, young people,
families and older people.
All residents are welcome and encouraged to join in the festive spirit,
entertainment, foods, interactive activities and the beautiful surrounds
of Alma Park.
Port Melbourne Festival
Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 March 2000.
The event will be held in Port Melbourne at Edwards Park and Murphy's
Reserve. The program is currently being prepared, though it is sure to be
an event filled with entertainment for the whole family. Proudly supported
